With a diminution of 1.2 points, it went from 8.8 % to 7.6 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vacancy rate remains below the average for French city centres, set at 10.5 % in 2020. The national average for 2021 will be available at the end of our census campaign and will allow us to confirm or refute this trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.codata.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/factsheet-montpellier-citycentre_3.pdf\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"788\" height=\"491\" src=\"https:\/\/www.codata.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/montpellier.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2997\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.codata.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/montpellier.jpg 788w, https:\/\/www.codata.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/montpellier-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.codata.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/montpellier-768x479.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 788px) 100vw, 788px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2016, no increase in the percentage of Retailers had been registered. It has been steadily decreasing. However, the trend reversed as the percentage of Retailers has risen from 32.9 % in 2020 to 33 % in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities : significant trends<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Often in difficulty, and further weakened by the Covid-19 crisis, the &#8220;Clothing&#8221; activity suffered a relatively small loss : two shops have disappeared between 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Perfumes \u2013 Beauty \u2013 Body care&#8221; activity is on the rise.
