Codata Factsheet | Montélimar (city centre 2025)

Last March, our team of data-collectors conducted the annual census of the city centre of Montélimar. The city centre encompasses 455 locations, of which 411 are retail locations. Among the retail locations, 280 are occupied by shops.

Each month, Codata selects a city centre that has been recently studied by our team of data-collectors in order to share the latest trends observed on site.

Vacancy rate

The commercial vacancy rate remains stable: 29.5% in 2024 compared to 29.7% in 2025.

Retailers’ occupancy rate

The percentage of shops occupied by retailers stands at 21.8% in 2025. Whereas the rate was 24.3% in 2024.

Retailers opening in the city centre in 2025 include, Normal, Gold Union and Maison 123.

Evolution of activities

The ‘Clothing’ activity remains the sector with the highest occupancy rate in the city centre. This rate has reached 22.5% (63 shops).

‘Services’ ranks second with an occupancy rate of 18.9% (i.e. 53 locations).

Despite a decline in the number of locations occupied, the ‘Cafés-Hotels-Restaurants’ sector keeps its third place and occupies 17.5% of the shops (i.e. 49 shops in 2025 compared with 51 in 2024).
