On 18 June 2026, our team of data collectors conducted the census of Auch city centre, which is composed exclusively of shopping streets. It encompasses 309 locations, of which 267 are retail locations. Among these, 206 are occupied by shops.

Vacancy rate

Between the 2025 and 2026 censuses, the commercial vacancy rate increased in Auch city centre, rising from 21.2% to 22.5%.

Retailers’ occupancy rate

In 2026, the number of shops occupied by retailers decreased: 27.2% in 2025 vs 26.2% in 2026.

• Retailers who opened in the city centre:
  • No changes since the previous census.
• Retailers who left the city centre:
  • Caisse d’Épargne, Casino, Sergent Major.

Evolution of activities: top 3 most represented activities

The most represented sector in the city centre is Services, with 51 occupied establishments, representing 24.8% of the commercial offering.

In second place, Clothing accounts for 37 locations, representing an occupancy rate of 18%.

Finally, Perfumes-Beauty-Body care rounds out the top three, with 28 shops and an occupancy rate of 13.6%.
